It's half past five in the afternoon
When you come in through the door
Something's boiling in the kitchen
Children's books are on the floor
Today was not an easy day
My arms are getting sore
And it feels as though there's never
Any free time anymore
'Till you set your things down
And ask "How was your day?"
Brush my hair from my face
And let me talk away
But when given the chance
All that I want to say
Is "I love you even more
As we go grey."
